MSDS Material Safety Data Sheet

MSDS, МСДС, SDS, eSDS MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) – is a fundamental document for technical documentation attached to virtually all chemically modified substances, mixtures, materials and industrial waste. Material Safety Data Sheet is created both for daily life products and manufacturing.
In manufacturing – chemicals, and chemically modified substances of natural origin. Daily life products – goods or products that contain chemical substances (powders, gels, varnishes, paints, creams, and etc.).
Material Safety Data Sheet is a mandatory document for trading in EU, transportation and custom clearance, storage and recycling of the product. The document is required for CE certification and for obtaining other permits.
MSDS contains comprehensive information for the safe handling, use, storage and disposal of potentially hazardous chemicals.

Abbreviation SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and eSDS (extended Safety Data Sheets) is used in European REACH Regulation. In this regard, the precise name of the document for European market is SDS (Safety Data Sheet) или eSDS (extended Safety Data Sheets). When supplying to the Global market – MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet).

The requirements for the Safety Data Sheet are determined by the REACH Regulation

• the mixture or substance is included in the list of proposed substances, which will eventually be included in Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation (authorized chemicals);
• the mixture contains a substance with an individual concentration ≥ 1% w/w for non-gaseous mixtures and ≥ 0.2% by volume for gaseous mixtures where that substance poses human health or environmental hazards.
• the mixture or substance is included in the list of proposed substances which will eventually be included in Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation (authorized chemicals), and whose concentration in a non-gaseous preparation is equal to or exceeds 0.1 % w/w;
